When down-to-earth Wakefield lass Jane McDonald accepted the chance to headline as a singer on the cruise ship Galaxy she could not have imagined it would lead to becoming the internationally-renowned singing sensation she is today:

• The sublime songstress is now a TV star, hosting shows regularly attracting 10 million views

• DVD's videos and her autobiography have all been best sellers.

This all came about because a BBC film crew had boarded the Galaxy to make a documentary about ALL the staff on board.
